Roger Waters is finally set to bring his This Is Not a Drill Tour to Northern California.
The trek was originally scheduled to touch down in Sacramento and San Francisco back in September 2020, but then the COVID-19 pandemic hit and Waters — as well as basically every other touring musician on the planet — had to reschedule the dates.
Two years later, this legendary co-founder of Pink Floyd — who has also released a number of solid albums during a solo career dating back to the mid-’80s — is making good on his promise and is ready to perform Sept. 20 at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento and Sept. 23-24 at Chase Center in San Francisco.
The set list for this tour looks fantastic, built mainly from such Floyd classics as “Comfortably Numb,” “Wish You Were Here,” “Us and Them,” “Have a Cigar” and “Money” but also offering up a goodly number of Waters solo numbers.
Show time for all three shows is 8 p.m. Ducats for the Sacramento gig run $25 and up, while tickets for the San Francisco shows start at $33, ticketmaster.com.
