MILPITAS – No one claimed the $1.2 billion Powerball jackpot Wednesday, but two tickets worth more than $1 million were sold in California, including one in Milpitas.

The grand prize, meanwhile, soared to an estimated $1.5 billion. The next drawing will take place Saturday evening.

The winning numbers for Wednesday’s drawing were white balls 2, 11, 22, 35 and 60, plus Powerball 23.

In California, two tickets matched all five white balls but missed matching the red Powerball to win $1,044,212 each. The tickets were sold at the 7-Eleven at 1838 Milmount Drive in Milpitas and at Eastland Food Market at 1072 East G St. in Ontario.

Altogether, there were 962,544 winning tickets across the game’s nine prize tiers.

The current jackpot has been rolling since a player in Pennsylvania won the $206.9 million jackpot on Aug. 3. Since that time, nearly 100 million tickets have been sold in California.

Powerball holds the world record for largest jackpot, set in 2016, according to the lottery. The record $1.586 billion jackpot was shared by winners in California, Florida and Tennessee.

Check back for updates.
