A youth counselor assigned to a middle school near Downtown San Jose was arrested on suspicion of multiple sexual assaults of minors under the age of 16 on Nov. 29, according to the San Jose Police Department.
San Jose resident Silvio Yoc-Aguilar, 27, worked as a youth counselor for New Hope for Youth, an organization dedicated to helping young people affected by gang activity, as well as those at-risk. Yoc-Aguilar was assigned to Hubbard Middle School, where he allegedly sexually assaulted a victim in a classroom.
Yoc-Aguilar was arrested on suspicion of multiple counts of sexual assault. Due to his position at the school, police believe there may be more victims.
