Former Orioles reliever Darren O'Day, pictured in a game in 2018, retired from baseball Monday after 15 major league seasons. ()The Jacksonville, Florida, native ends his career with a 2.59 ERA and 21 saves in 609 innings. O’ Day was signed as an undrafted free agent out of college and made his major league debut in 2008 with the Los Angeles Angels. After a brief stint with the Mets in 2009, he was claimed by the Texas Rangers and had back-to-back successful seasons.
