Food insecurity talk
The next installation of the Sustainability Speaker Series—put on jointly by the Town of Los Gatos and the Los Gatos Library—will focus on food policy close to home. Grecia Marquez-Nieblas, agriculture program manager at the local nonprofit SPUR, will talk about food insecurity and its causes in the Bay Area.
The talk will take place at the Los Gatos Library on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 5 p.m. The event is free to attend.
Ballet showcase
Los Gatos Ballet, an all-ages dance school near downtown Los Gatos, is hosting a contemporary showcase Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. at the McAfee Performing Arts and Lecture Center at Saratoga High School. The show is an annual installment in the long-running BEYOND series, and will feature eclectic pieces from a diverse group of dancers and choreographers.

Networking mixer
The Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce is hosting its February networking mixer next Wednesday, Feb. 15, at the Best Western Inn, located at 55 Saratoga-Los Gatos Road. The event is open to both Chamber members and non-members, although non-members and guests will pay a higher admission fee. The event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. and registration is available online at www.losgatoschamber.com/events.
