Group hits the Voctave
Eleven voices strong, the a cappella group Voctave will bring its arrangements of Disney and Broadway hits to Campbell’s Heritage Theatre on Friday, March 24.
The voices that bring these arrangements to life represent a wealth of diverse backgrounds and musical experiences. Voctave members have roots in musical theater, contemporary Christian music, barbershop, pop and choral music.
Formed in 2015 by producer and arranger Jamey Ray, Voctave hails from Central Florida. The group has performed with musicians including Sandi Patty, Pentatonix’s Kirstin Maldonado, Mark Lowry, David Phelps and Jody McBrayer.
Voctave has had over 150 million social media views of their videos, and their latest album, “The Spirit of the Season, Deluxe Edition,” reached No. 6 on the Billboard charts.

Embracing Equity
To celebrate International Women’s Day, Rotary District 5170—which includes the Campbell club—is hosting an “Embrace Equity” event March 19, 4-7 p.m., at the Rotary San Jose Summit Center, 88 S. First St.
The event features a wine and apps reception, a Rotary project fair and a panel discussion moderated by Suzanne St. John Crane, CEO of the American Leadership Forum. Panelists include Dr. Cynthia Teniente-Matson, president of San Jose State University; Lisa Gauthier of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group; and Dr. Hilary Nixon, deputy executive director of SJSU’s Mineta Transportation Institute.
