Portrait of Lara Price at recording studio in San Jose, Calif., on Monday, April 27, 2015. Lara Price, a soulful blues singer, has a life full of challenges around making it as a musician in a tough business. But now, on the 40th anniversary of the "Babylift" that brought more than 1,000 Vietnamese babies to America from the war. She is forging ahead on the scary notion of finally finding out who she is, where she came from, and who her blood relatives are. (Josie Lepe/Bay Area News Group)

Fire safety
This spring, the Santa Clara County Fire Department will hold several online webinars to help prepare residents for the area’s unpredictable fire season. In April, the department will host information sessions on ways to reduce damage to the home during wildfires, as well as sessions on how to navigate evacuations during high-stress situations. In May, officials will teach residents about how to use home insurance as a “safety net.”
