Identity theft: A Saratoga resident reported that someone used their personal information to open several credit card accounts. No financial loss was incurred.
Bank robbery: At 10:56 a.m., someone entered the Wells Fargo bank on Big Basin Way and showed a teller a message on their phone demanding money and stating he had a gun. The suspect fled the scene by vehicle after stealing approximately $8,077.
Feb. 24
Residential burglary: Between 3 and 4:30 p.m., someone entered the garages of multiple residences in the Vineyards of Saratoga condominium complex by forcing doors open and stole golf clubs, tools and other items.
Residential burglary: At 8:38 p.m., someone entered a residence in the 19000 block of Zinfandel Court by breaking a rear sliding glass door. No losses were reported.
Feb. 25
Reckless Evading: At 4:59 a.m., deputies responded to an automated license plate reader notification for a stolen vehicle at Quito Road and Marshall Lane. Deputies located and attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver did not yield and recklessly evaded, and the pursuit was ultimately terminated. The suspect is unknown and at large.
Commercial burglary: At 1:46 p.m., someone entered CVS in the Argonaut Shopping Center on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road and took store merchandise without paying for a total loss of about $1,400.
Feb. 26
False Registration Tab: At 11:16 a.m., deputies stopped a motorist at Saratoga Avenue and Bucknall Road for displaying a current registration tab while the vehicle’s registration was actually expired. The motorist was cited and released.
