Fans are gonna hear Katy Perry “roar” at King Charles III’s Coronation Concert on Sunday, May 7. The pop star is scheduled to perform at Windsor Castle that day and said her invitation to the coronation is “so cool.”

“I’m grateful I get to go,” Perry, 38, told Entertainment Tonight on Monday. “I met His Majesty-to-be a few years ago, and he named me as an ambassador to one of his organizations, The British Asian Trust, which is an organization that helps fight to end child trafficking. … That’s mostly why I’m going, to be an ambassador and to say, ‘Hey, this is me from the U.S.A.’ No, but it’s so cool.”

(Clarification: King Charles is already “His Majesty.” The honorific was automatically bestowed to him upon the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.)

That same day as the coronation concert, ABC will air a live episode of “American Idol” Season 21, for which Perry is a judge. The singer told fans they’ll have to “tune in and wait and see” how she handles both commitments. “The hologram is finally real!” she joked.

Lionel Richie, another “Idol” judge, is also booked for the concert. The 73-year-old — whom Charles named ambassador to The Prince’s Trust International in 2019 — told ET he’s “honestly blown away” by the honor.

“To be in this part of history, I’m just blown away,” he added. “I’m so excited to be there. I’m walking in history.”

Italian tenor singer Andrea Bocelli will also perform at the Coronation Concert alongside a slate of U.K. talent that includes pop group Take That, bass-baritone singer Sir Bryn Terfel, singer Freya Ridings, and pianist Alexis Ffrench, according to People.

“The concert will celebrate a new chapter in the nation’s history, with themes of love, respect and optimism, celebrating the four nations, their communities and the Commonwealth,” the BBC, which will air the concert live from Windsor Castle, said in a statement this month.
