From steak and shrimp to sweet desserts, restaurant chains are offering treats for Mother’s Day.

The holiday falls on Sunday, May 14, but many of the promotions are good for the weekend or longer.

Some chains also offer take-home family feasts.

Here are some of the specials that have been promoted on websites or in news releases.

Baskin-Robbins: A Perfect Peony Cake is one of several customizable ice cream cakes featuring floral bouquets rendered in frosting. baskinrobbins.com

California Pizza Kitchen: Guests can order heart-shaped pizzas on May 14 for no extra charge, according to a news release. CPK is also kicking in a $10 eBonus card for every $50 egift purchased through May 14. cpk.com

Claim Jumper Steakhouse & Bar: The chain will be serving Mother’s Day brunch 10 a.m.-3 p.m. May 14 for $45 at all locations except Costa Mesa and San Diego Bay, according to its website. The spread will include an omelet bar and carving station. claimjumper.com

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar: A three-course menu will be offered May 13-14. It includes filet mignon and choice of crab-stuffed shrimp scampi or lobster tail scampi. Prices started at $85, according to a news release. flemingssteakhouse.com

Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar: The Costa Mesa casual chain will donate $1 to the nonprofit organization Baby2Baby for every Butter Cake sold May 12-14. lazydogrestaurants.com

Ruth’s Chris Steak House: The chain is offering both a Mother’s Day brunch for May 13-14 and a prix fixe menu with combinations of steak, fish and seafood. ruthschris.com

The Cheesecake Factory: The casual chain will kick in a $10 bonus card for $50 gift cards purchased online through May 14, according to a news release. thecheesecakefactory.com

Urban Plates: The first 150 mothers who dine in on Mother’s Day will receive a complimentary chocolate dessert, and the first 100 moms will get roses, according to a news release. urbanplates.com
