You might say Sushi Confidential is on a roll.
Owner “Sushi Randy” Musterer has expanded his restaurant realm once again, this time opening a sushi bar inside the Casino M8trix in North San Jose. The move comes a year after the third Sushi Confidential opened in Morgan Hill.
The casino location will serve both classic and inventive sushi rolls, sashimi, nigiri and small plates from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. daily. Orders can be made from the gaming floor, and the sushi is also available in the casino’s Epic Bar and its Zone 8 Sports Bar and Grill. Late night takeout is an option also.
Look for his most popular menu items — Cabo Conspiracy (spicy crab) and Geisha Girl (spicy tuna with salmon) rolls and Poke Tacos among them — along with a new roll designed for this location. The M8trix Roll, which features spicy crab, avocado, cucumber and jalapeno, is topped with tuna, yellowtail, salmon, mango, sweet & sour, unagi sauce, habanero tobiko and green onions.
“Their commitment to quality and creativity aligns perfectly with our mission to provide guests with an exceptional experience,” Eric Harris, chief operating officer of Casino M8trix, said in his welcome announcement.
Musterer, a medical researcher turned chef/entrepreneur, joined the Santa Clara Valley dining scene in 2012 with a downtown Campbell restaurant, followed by a downtown San Jose location and then the Morgan Hill one. He also operates stands at SAP Center and Shoreline Amphitheater.
