ANTIOCH — A 20-year-old woman died Thursday when two cars crashed into each other and one of them rolled over, police said.

Authorities on Friday identified her as Angela Fierro, of Antioch.

The 4:50 p.m. crash at the intersection of Lone Tree Way and Clayburn Road caused one vehicle to roll over and ejected Fierro, Antioch police Sgt. Rob Green said in a statement. She died at the scene; it was not immediately clear if she was driving at the time of the crash. A passenger in that vehicle went by ambulance to a hospital as a precaution, he said.

The driver of the car that didn’t roll over had chest pains and also went by ambulance to a hospital, Green said.

Police believe at least one of the cars was speeding. Beyond that, they did not have any information on how the crash occurred, pending the investigation. They requested information from anyone who may have been in the area or who may have information.

Police can be contacted at 925-779-8544 or by contacting Ofc. Fred Blumberg at fblumberg@antiochca.gov. Anonymous texts can be sent to 274637 using the key word ANTIOCH.
