Sheriff T.K. Waters said Sunday that Palmeter used an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle and a Glock handgun in the shooting that were legally purchased months earlier. Palmeter killed himself after shooting his three victims. Later Sunday, Florida's Gov. Ron DeSantis was loudly booed as he addressed a vigil drawing about 200 people. The Republican governor told the crowd that authorities would not let people be targeted “based on their race.”
