Conflicting stories emerged early Thursday over the status of Al Pacino’s relationship with Noor Alfallah, the 29-year-old mother of his “surprise” fourth baby after she filed court documents seeking full custody of their 3-month-old son.
TMZ initially reported Thursday that the 83-year-old Pacino had split from Alfallah after a year of dating as their “child custody drama” heats up. But Pacino’s representative told Page Six that the actor and Alfallah are “still together.” The rep also suggested that the court filing is a formality, saying “Al and Noor have successfully worked together and have mutually reached agreements regarding their child Roman.” TMZ later updated its story to include the representative’s statement about Pacino and Alfallah still being romantically involved.
Even if Pacino and Alfallah are still a couple, as his representative said, the court filing indicates that they are living separately and that she will be their child’s primary caretaker. In the filing, Alfallah asked for full physical custody but requested to share legal custody, which would give Pacino a say in decisions regarding education and medical care. She also said she was willing to give “reasonable visitation” rights to the “Scarface” star.
Alfallah, however, said nothing in her court documents about child support payments, and TMZ said they are likely to become an issue in the future.
It’s likely that Pacino didn’t expect to be dealing with child custody issues at this time in his life, given multiple reports that this baby was a surprise.
Back in May, when news broke that Alfallah was expecting a baby, sources close to “The Godfather” actor told TMZ that he was not planning to have another child. The Oscar winner, who has never been married, is already a father to three adult children: daughter Julie, 33, whom he shares with acting coach Jan Tarrant, and twins Olivia and Anton, 22, whom he shares with actress Beverly D’Angelo.
There also were a flurry of reports from TMZ, ShowBiz411 and Page Six, saying that Pacino had only learned about the pregnancy two months earlier; that he had doubts about the baby’s paternity; and that he had demanded a prenatal DNA test because he had a medical issue that made him think he couldn’t get anyone pregnant.
But Pacino’s rep told People and Daily Mail at the time that he “could not be happier” to become a father for the fourth time, while denying that he had been kept in the dark about the pregnancy. TMZ and Page Six also reported that Alfallah took the DNA test, which proved that the baby was his.

And, as is the case now, a source or sources close to Pacino insisted to certain publications that he and Alfallah were still “very much in love.”
Before the baby drama, the relationship between Pacino and Alfallah — and their 54-year age gap — raised questions in Hollywood mostly because Alfallah, an aspiring producer, had become known for gravitating to romances with much older men, as the Daily Mail reported. She especially seemed drawn to men who are rich and powerful in the entertainment industry, as the Daily Mail and Page Six reported.
Prior to Pacino, Alfallah, a Beverly Hills native and UCLA film school graduate, first made headlines in 2017 when she dated Mick Jagger, when he was 74 and she was 22. People magazine reported that she “moves with the wealthy jet-set crowd, and she comes from money.”
The Daily Mail also said Alfallah dated billionaire Nicolas Berggruen. In 2019, she sparked romance rumors with Clint Eastwood, who is in his 90s. People reported. Alfallah, though, denied a relationship, telling the Daily Mail: “We’re family friends, and my family was there and that’s it. … Trust me there’s no relationship.”
Pacino and Alfallah were first romantically linked in 2022 after they were spotted grabbing dinner together, People said. Sources told Page Six that that the couple began quietly dating during the pandemic.
