Wet and slick conditions were expected to roll through the Bay Area on Monday as temperatures drop into the 60s and below, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasts showed rain chances above 80% for virtually the entire region throughout Monday, with the brunt of the precipitation expected before 4 p.m. The rain was forecast in the form of scattered showers throughout the Bay Area providing short bursts of rainfall.

In Oakland, Concord and San Francisco, rain totals were forecast between one-tenth and one-quarter of an inch with chances higher than 90%, according to the NWS. South of those cities, totals were expected to fall to less than one-tenth of an inch.

Highs across the Bay Area include 63 degrees in San Francisco, 65 in Oakland,  68 in San Jose, 68 in Concord, 67 in Livermore and 69 in Palo Alto. As a cold front passes, the NWS said, low temperatures overnight were set to drop to as low as 49 in the South Bay, 48 in the East Bay and 50 on the Peninsula.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
