Inspired students
Students from both campuses in the Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District were recognized Oct. 17 for participating in the development of the district’s strategic plan. The board approved the first two phases of the plan, dubbed We INSPIRE!, at that meeting.
The students were members of the Strategic Plan Design Team, which solicited input from a broad-based stakeholder group about the development and implementation of the strategic plan. They worked with staff from both schools, as well as the district office, parents, community leaders and facilitators. Student team members from Los Gatos High School were sophomore Prav Balasingam and junior Amitis Hakimi. Saratoga High School students who participated in the effort were sophomore Charlotte Hu, senior Sarah Thomas and junior Shawn Wong.
We INSPIRE! is set to be brought back to the board of trustees for approval of Phase 3 in June 2024. To view the strategic plan, visit https://www.flipsnack.com/F8EB9B77C6F/we-inspire-strategic-plan-2023-2033-phase-1-and-2-final/full-view.html.
Also at the Oct. 17 meeting, principal Greg Louie presented Saratoga High School’s School Plan for Student Achievement. Stakeholders involved in developing this plan included the School Site Council, the Principal’s Student Advisory Committee and the Site Leadership Team.
