Grand theft: Between 10 p.m. on Oct. 21 and noon on Oct. 23, someone stole a catalytic converter from a vehicle parked in the 20000 block of Puente Court for a loss estimated at $1,800.
Oct. 25
Vandalism, mail theft: Between noon and 7 p.m., someone pried open the mailboxes of two residences in the 15000 block of Norton Road, causing approximately $500 damage, and stole mail.
Battery on school grounds: At 3:10 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance at Prospect High School on Prospect Road. An investigation revealed that a student was punched multiple times in the head by three suspects who quickly fled the scene when school staff intervened. At 4:51 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a prior assault and battery at Prospect High School. An investigation revealed that two students got into a fight and hit each other multiple times. Both students are known and at large, and the case is being submitted to the District Attorney’s Office for review.
Oct. 27
False ID to peace officer, resisting arrest: At 2:15 p.m., deputies responded to a suspicious person call at Mendelsohn Lane and Saratoga-Los Gatos Road. The suspect provided deputies with false identifying information to avoid detection of an outstanding warrant. The suspect attempted to flee but was ultimately arrested.
