A vote Tuesday by the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors approved funding for six affordable housing complexes, in San Jose, Mountain View and Palo Alto.

The projects, providing 716 units, will cost $47.4 million. Of that, $36.1 million will come from Measure A — a $950 million affordable housing bond approved by voters in 2016.

The county has so far allocated about $857 million of Measure A funds, with $648 million going to build 4,749 affordable homes.
