COLMA – A teenage boy was arrested on suspicion of punching a 12-year-old child and stealing their phone while on probation Monday in Colma, authorities said.
The robbery happened in the 300 block of F Street, near Woodlawn Memorial Park, according to Sgt. Gaby Chaghouri of the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
Witnesses identified the suspect as a 17-year-old resident of Colma, Chaghouri said in a news release.
The suspect also injured one of the victim’s hands during the robbery, according to Chaghouri.
The suspect was on probation for weapons charges and wearing an ankle monitor at the time of the robbery, Chaghouri said.
Deputies found the suspect after he received medical treatment for an undisclosed injury. He was then booked into San Mateo County juvenile hall on charges related to the robbery.
