OAKLAND — Two people were killed, one inside a neighborhood market, and another person wounded in shootings that happened within four hours Saturday in different areas of the city, authorities said.

The shootings are not related, authorities said.

About 8:09 p.m. Saturday a 46-year-old man was fatally shot inside the Orlando Market, 2840 Linden St. in West Oakland, authorities said.

The Oakland man’s name has not yet been released, and police have not yet said if he was an employee at the store or a customer.

The man was taken by some other people to a hospital where he died about a half-hour later, authorities said.

A motive for the shooting has not been released. No arrests have been made and no suspect information has been released.

About 5:50 p.m. Saturday a 22-year-old Oakland woman was fatally shot in the area of Seminary Avenue and San Leandro Street in East Oakland, authorities said.

A friend drove the woman to a fire station on nearby 66th Avenue where police were called. The woman was taken to a hospital where she died a short time later.

A motive for the shooting has not yet been released. No arrests have been announced.

The two killings are the second and third homicides investigated by Oakland police this year. Last year at this time police had investigated the same number of homicides.

The nonfatal shooting that left a  25-year-old Dublin man with a graze wound to the head happened about 9:48 p.m. in the 2200 block of Lakeshore Avenue across from Lake Merritt, authorities said.

The man was sitting in a parked vehicle with some other people when they heard gunfire and the man realized he had been wounded. The other people in the vehicle were not hurt and drove the man to a hospital. He was later reported to be in stable condition.

Police have not yet determined a motive for the shooting or if the man was an intended target or hit by a stray bullet.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $10,000 in reward money in each of the two homicides and up to $5,000 in the nonfatal shooting. Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3821 or 510-238-3426 or 510-238-7950 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
