RICHMOND — A person died Thursday night in a fiery crash on the Richmond Parkway, the California Highway Patrol said.
The CHP responded to the scene near Parr Boulevard about 10:25 p.m. Initial reports confirmed by the agency said the vehicle was on fire and that a person was trapped inside it. The CHP had no information on the crash victim.
The vehicle that crashed was an SUV that ended up down an embankment, according to the agency.
The wreck happened in the eastbound direction of the Richmond Parkway. The CHP did not have any details Friday on how it happened, or whether anybody else was in the vehicle.
