OAKLAND — Police have arrested a suspect in seven robberies of the same two local pizza parlors, according to court records.
The 20-year-old suspect was charged Jan. 31 with seven counts of second degree robbery and one count of criminal threats, all felonies. He remains in Santa Rita Jail in Dublin on a $400,000 bail order, and is next due in court on Feb. 13, records show.
Police say the robberies occurred between last Dec. 30 and Jan. 17, and targeted two businesses: Papa John’s Pizza on San Pablo Avenue and Round Table Pizza on Grand Avenue.
The suspect was identified through surveillance footage and multiple eyewitnesses who reviewed a double-blind lineup, police said. When authorities raided the man’s home they found clothing and a pellet gun believed to have been used in the robberies.
After the suspect’s arrest, he confessed in a police interview, authorities said.
