Bay Area News Group readers have traveled around the globe this last year, from the salt mines of Austria to the rivers of Alaska, home of the famous bears of “Fat Bear Week.” Along the way, they’ve shared their adventures and passed along helpful travel tips, too.

Here’s the latest installment, this time from Patagonia.

ARGENTINA: Santa Cruz residents Jeff and Merle Froshman spent two weeks this fall exploring Patagonia and Iguazu Falls. One of the many trip highlights was a visit to Perito Moreno Glacier in Los Glaciares National Park, Jeff says, which is in the south Patagonia region of Argentina.

TRAVEL TIPS: Allow plenty of time. “The Andes, waterfalls, glaciers, volcanoes and both the Argentine and Chilean areas of Patagonia are so worth visiting!!”
