OAKLAND — A woman and a man were wounded in a shooting Monday morning in the San Antonio district, authorities said.
Both the 20-year-old woman and the 26-year-old man were reported to be in stable condition at a hospital.
Police said the two victims know each other.
The shooting happened about 5:22 a.m. Monday in the 1400 block of 16th Avenue.
Initial reports were that the two got into a dispute with some other people, including a man who began shooting at them.
The two wounded people got their own transportation to a hospital. The shooter fled before police got to the scene.
Numerous shell casings were recovered in the area, authorities said.
Police have not said what the dispute that prompted the shooting was about or if the victims knew the shooter. No suspect information was released and no arrests were announced.
