For this year’s theme, "Unarmed Truth," students were encouraged to find inspiration from leaders and social movements that helped them understand, embody or uphold a hidden truth as a community. Granting access to art

New Museum Los Gatos (NUMU) received a grant from Santa Clara County to help encourage a wider variety of students to participate in ArtNow, its annual high school art exhibit.

The funding will help NUMU translate materials promoting the exhibit into Spanish and Vietnamese, and develop a teacher roundtable program to encourage resource sharing throughout Santa Clara County.

“ArtNow thrives because it empowers emerging artists, affirming the value of their voices and work,” NUMU Executive Director Kimberly Snyder said in a release. “With the county’s support, we’ve made the exhibition more accessible, fostering meaningful relationships between teachers and students and ensuring more students can experience the transformative power of sharing their creativity with the community.”
