Identity theft: A Saratoga resident reported that someone used their personal information to access their bank account and withdrew approximately $2,000.

Resisting arrest by force or violence: At 6:29 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in the 18000 block of McCoy Avenue. The intoxicated suspect attempted to run into oncoming traffic and punched a deputy in the shoulder, but was ultimately arrested without further incident and booked into main jail.

DUI, suspended license: At 8:57 p.m., deputies responded to the report of an impaired driver in the 12000 block of Saratoga Avenue. Deputies located and stopped the motorist, and an investigation revealed the suspect was driving under the influence of alcohol and with a suspended license, in violation of the suspect’s probation terms. The suspect was arrested and booked into main jail.

Petty theft, theft by credit card: Between 10:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., someone stole a wallet from a purse at Safeway in the Argonaut Center on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road for a loss of about $175. The suspect then used a credit card in the wallet to make a fraudulent purchase totaling approximately $838.
