Marianne Faithfull dies at 78; British pop star was muse to the Rolling Stones

Her raw, explicit “Broken English” album, released in 1979, brought her rave reviews. She also had several theater, film and TV roles, including the movies “Marie Antoinette” and “The Girl from Nagasaki.”
