OAKLAND — A 32-year-old San Leandro man was found fatally shot in East Oakland early Sunday morning, authorities said.
Officers arrived to 50th Avenue and Coliseum Way around 5:39 a.m., to find the man dead in his vehicle. Officers believe the man crashed after being shot in his car. Officers have not named the victim. No motive or suspect information is currently available and no arrests were announced.
The shooting is being considered a homicide, marking the 13th being investigated by the Oakland Police Department this year. Comparatively, the department was investigating nine homicides this time last year.
