San Jose Unified School District's board of education unanimously approved placing a $1.2 billion bond measure on the Nov. ballot. If passed by voters, the money will be used to upgrade school facilities and provide workforce housing (Molly Gibbs - Bay Area News Group).The allegations come nearly a year after a Santa Clara County Civil Grand Jury report found that San Jose Unified School District’s failing leadership, high turnover rate and overall lack of transparency has threatened students’ safety and led the district “adrift.”
