San Jose firefighters stopped the forward progress of a 30-acre wildfire Sunday night that had burned vegetation on the southeastern edge of the city and impacted traffic. No injuries were reported, and no structures burned.
Firefighters were mopping up the fire after halting its progress at about 8:30 p.m. on Sunday. The fire had ignited about 6 p.m. near the intersection of Hellyer Avenue and Silicon Valley Boulevard, according to the San Jose Fire Department, which battled the blaze with assistance from Cal Fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
