The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation has announced that it will provide a grant of over $6 million for the La Placita project in East San Jose, the largest award the philanthropic organization has made on the West Coast. Knight Foundation)The Knight Foundation's $6 million grant award for La Placita in East San Jose will help the commercial project get off the ground later this year. Once complete, it is expected to create more than $150 million in economic activity.
