SAN JOSE — Police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found inside a West San Jose home early Sunday, authorities said.
San Jose police officers were called at 2:49 a.m. to a home in the 900 block of Wainwright Drive, which is just west of South Bascom Avenue and north of Southwest Expressway, for a report of a “possibly deceased person,” according to the police department.
The officers found a woman “who was obviously deceased and had signs of trauma,” police said. The death was classified as suspicious but as of Monday morning was not classified as a homicide, though as a matter of protocol, homicide detectives were summoned to investigate.
