Beach hazards statement active for Bay Area Shorelines Wednesday night

Northern Monterey Bay and Southern Monterey Bay and Big Sur Coast as well as San Francisco County were placed under a beach hazards statement by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 9:39 p.m. The statement is in effect until 10 p.m.

“Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected,” according to the NWS San Francisco CA. “If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.”
