Wilcox wrestler Kimmora Teo is the Bay Area News Group’s girls high school athlete of the week for Jan. 26-31.
In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Teo had 55.7% of the vote to finish ahead of College Park basketball player Isabella Lawson, who took second at 42.9%.
Congrats to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.
Teo, ranked in the top 10 in the state and first in the Central Coast Section, won the title at the Judy Rider Memorial tournament at Hollister High on Saturday. The senior won all her matches by fall (pin) or technical fall (point differential of 15). In the final, she pinned the second-ranked CCS opponent from Monterey.
