Menlo-Atherton basketball player Luisa Tava is the Bay Area News Group’s girls high school athlete of the week for Feb. 23-28.
In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Tava finished with 53.2% of the votes. Salesian basketball player Ezra Palec took second at 44.9%.
Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.
Tava scored 22 points in M-A’s semifinal win over Los Altos, then added 15 in the CCS Division I championship game against Los Gatos as the Bears won the section title 49-32.
