Taste of Campbell

The eighth annual Taste of Campbell, a fundraiser for the Campbell Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), is set for Sunday, March 28,3-6 p.m., at the Campbell Community Center. The event features bites from a variety of Campbell food establishments and pours from local wineries and breweries, as well as a silent auction and live music by the Cocktail Monkeys.

Money raised goes toward Campbell CERT’s training programs, designed to equip a network of citizen first-responders in the event of a large-scale emergency.

The event will be held inside the Carriage House, the visitor center adjacent to the Ainsley House. For tickets, visit lovecampbell.com.

History Happy Hour

Educator, author and researcher Tonya McQuade will share the story of “Mary Brown in California” during History Happy Hour on Friday, March 13, at 5:30pm.

Brown forged an unexpected new life after the execution of her abolitionist husband John Brown. Her journey led her to California, where she spent her later years in Saratoga.

The happy hour includes appetizers and beverages. McQuade’s talk will be followed by a Q&A.

Tickets are $25 at https://www.campbellmuseums.com.

Museum mixer

The Campbell Museums are hosting a Volunteer Recruitment Mixer on Thursday, March 26, 5-7 p.m. The event will be held inside the Carriage House, the visitor center adjacent to the Ainsley House.

Attendees can learn about how to get involved by acting as docents and greeters, gardeners and special event helpers or serving on the Campbell Museum Foundation Board. Current volunteers and museum staff will be on hand to answer questions and share their experiences.
