Milpitas High School freshman Cindy Xu is among the 97 artists whose work has been chosen for ArtNow 2026, the annual juried show at New Museum Los Gatos (NUMU) for high school students in Santa Clara County.
This show features the largest number of artists ever to exhibit. NUMU received more than 600 submissions from 53 high schools on the theme “Before/Between/Beyond.” Students were welcome to explore before, between or beyond as individual ideas or any combination of the three. The works selected for the show represent 36 high schools,
The exhibit runs March 27-July 19 at NUMU, located in the Los Gatos Civic Center at 106 E. Main St. An ArtNow Awards Ceremony is set for May 2, 3-6 p.m. Register to attend at https://bit.ly/46oKiXj.
Baskets of fun
The Easter Bunny is hopping into Great Mall Milpitas March 19-April 4 for photo ops and dance parties.
The Bunny Photo Experience will be open daily, and reservations are strongly encouraged. Bring your pets to pose with the Easter Bunny on March 22, 6-7 p.m.
Caring Bunny, a private event for children with special needs and their families, is set for March 22, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Organizers ensure a sensory-friendly environment. Reservations are required.
Kids can have cookies and juice with the Easter Bunny and receive a gift on March 28-29, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
New this year are KIDZ BOP Bunny Dance Parties. Every hour on the hour, kids can learn easy-to-follow moves and dance along with the Easter Bunny.
