ANTIOCH — A 17-year-old boy was killed in a drive-by shooting Sunday night, police said.
His name has not yet been released and police have not said where he lived.
In a news release, police said that about 11:49 p.m. Sunday officers responded to a report of gunfire in the 1100 block of Macaulay Street near West 14th Street and that a person had been shot. The area is primarily residential.
Police found the youth near the front yard of a residence suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said evidence recovered at the scene indicated it was a drive-by shooting and that the victim was outside when he was shot.
Investigators were interviewing witnesses Monday to try and identify any suspects or persons of interest.
A motive has not been released yet.
