OAKLAND — Three men were wounded in two drive-by shootings that happened about two hours apart Friday night in different areas of East Oakland, authorities said.

All of the men were shot  multiple times but were in stable condition,  authorities said.

The shootings do not appear to be related, police said.

The drive-by shooting that left two men wounded happened about 10:04 p.m. Friday in the 2000 block of 96th Avenue.

A 40-year-old man and a 21-year-old man were both outside when someone in a passing vehicle began shooting at them.  Both men were wounded multiple times.

They were able to get their own rides to a hospital.

A motive for the shooting is under investigation.  Other people were in the area at the time of the shooting and police are trying to determine if the men shot knew each other and if they were the intended targets of the shooter.  No arrests have been made.

About 11:50 p.m. a 28-year-old man was wounded in a drive-by shooting that happened near the intersection of High Street and Brookdale Avenue.

The man was outside when he was shot multiple times by someone in a passing vehicle.  The victim got a ride to a hospital from another person.

A motive for the shooting is under investigation. No arrests have been made.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $10,000 in reward money in the double shooting and up to $5,000 in the other shooting for information leading to the arrests of the suspects.  Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3426 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
