A man was fatally shot early Monday in Hayward, and a suspect was arrested at the scene, police said.
The shooting was reported at 5:54 a.m. in the 25000 block of Carlos Bee Boulevard, between Mission Boulevard and the campus of California State University East Bay.
A man found with bullet wounds died at the scene.
The suspect is a 24-year-old Hayward man, police said. He is being held at the Hayward jail.
