Van Morrison is setting up shop for two nights at the historic Mountain Winery.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, known for favorites as “Brown Eyed Girl,” “Sweet Thing,” “Domino,” “Wild Night” and “Have I Told You Lately,” performs Oct. 15-16 at the lovely outdoor venue in Saratoga.

And no matter which show you decide to attend, we’re guessing that it will indeed turn out to be a marvelous night for a “Moondance.”

Morrison, of course, has one of the most lengthy and distinguished careers in rock ‘n’ roll history. The Northern Ireland native — who is known by the nickname “the Belfast Cowboy” — first rose to prominence in the mid-’60s with the legendary garage-rock outfit Them, but then embarked on a solo career in impressive fashion with the release of “Brown Eyed Girl” in 1967.

Since then, he’s released more than 40 studio albums — including such gold/platinum-selling efforts as 1970’s “Moondance,” 1971’s “Tupelo Honey” and 1989’s “Avalon Sunset.”

Morrison’s latest studio outing is “What’s It Gonna Take?”

Grammy-nominated R&B/soul artist James Hunter, who is featured on Morrison’s “A Night in San Francisco” concert album from 1994 as well as the studio effort “Days Like This” from 1995, is also on the bill.

Showtime is 7 p.m. and tickets start at $159 with dinner packages also available; mountainwinery.com.
