Miami Heat guard Duncan Robinson will be sidelined at least a month because he is having finger surgery Wednesday in Los Angeles, the team announced. The injury was sustained in a November game against the Washington Wizards.

On Tuesday, the Heat revealed that rookie big man Nikola Jovic would be sidelined for at least a month with a back injury.

With the Heat only carrying 14 players on their standard roster due to the luxury tax, it means the team will be shorthanded for at least the next four weeks and likely longer, due to the rehabilitation process.

Robinson had attempted to play through the injury, even breaking the Heat all-time 3-pointer career record in last Friday’s victory over the Denver Nuggets.

In the absence of Robinson, the team likely will have to count even more on the 3-point shooting of Gabe Vincent and Max Strus.

The Heat have struggled with their 3-point shooting all season, with Robinson shooting well below his career percentage.

This breaking news story will be updated.
