SAN JOSE — Police have arrested three men in connection to an August gang-related shooting in San Jose, according to authorities.

The shooting in question took place around 9:37 p.m. on Aug. 24 at the 1500 block of Alum Rock Avenue, but all suspects had left the scene by the time officers arrived. The victim drove themself to a hospital with a non-life threatening injury.

According to police, an investigation revealed that the shooting was gang related. Three suspects were identified, though police did not immediately reveal how they had come to pinpoint the trio.

The police department later obtained search and arrest warrants for each suspect. On Sept. 26, police arrested two of the men, aged 23 and 26, in San Jose without incident.

The third, a 19-year-old man, was arrested on Nov. 29. A search at his home yielded illegal narcotics for sale and live ammunition, police said.

All three men were booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, possession of narcotics for sale and illegal possession of ammunition.

Anyone with information about this case or similar cases was asked to contact Detective Escobedo #4567 of the San Jose Police Gang Investigation Unit via email: 4567@sanjoseca.gov or 408-277-3835.
