ANTIOCH — A shootout Monday night left a 20-year-old man in critical condition, authorities said Tuesday.
Police said at least 30 rounds were fired in the gun battle between multiple shooters, which happened about 9:40 p.m. Monday in the 2200 block of Peppertree Way, a primarily residential area.
The man wounded is an Antioch resident, police said.
Police have not yet said if the man lived in the area of the shooting. It was not clear if he was one of the suspected shooters, a target or someone hit by a stray bullet.
No other shooting injuries were reported.
A motive for the shooting is under investigation. No arrests were announced.
