Pedestrian and bicycle upgrades made near the North Berkeley BART Station were celebrated by city officials, staff and community members Monday, Oct. 27. The improvements are meant to complement the future development of more than 700 homes on 5.5 acres of BART-owned land currently being used for parking. (Bay Area Rapid Transit)The bicycle and pedestrian improvements are part of a larger overhaul of the North Berkeley BART Station property which will include the addition of more than 700 new homes in the coming years.
